About Dr. Alyn

Dr. Alyn is a best selling author and an international fire service speaker and training instructor. She is the owner of Fire Presentations, offering a variety of training sessions and keynote presentations for fire departments, districts, and conferences all over the world.

She has been a featured presenter at Firehouse World, Firehouse Baltimore, Firehouse Central, Fire Rescue Conference, FDIC Indiana, FDIC West, and Fire Tech Reno.

Dr. Alyn is also a monthly columnist for Firehouse Magazine. She Alyn holds a bachelor's degree in business management, a master's degree in organizational management, and a Ph.D. in organizational management with a specialty in leadership. She has conducted the largest known study in the fire service on the topic of leadership and organizational commitment.

Her own previous leadership experience includes being the CEO of a financial planning firm as well as leading a non-profit organization where she was responsible for directing, inspiring, and leading hundreds of volunteer members.

Dr. Alyn has provided consulting, coaching, training, and keynote presentations for the fire service for over 15 years. She has also provided training and presentations for the Department of Defense, the Department of Transportation, military organizations, and other government entities.

An avid writer, Dr. Alyn is the author of eleven books including How to Inspire People to Achieve More, How to Deal With Annoying People (with Bob Phillips, Ph.D.), Discover Your Inner Strength (with contributors Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard, and Brian Tracy), and 101 Leadership Reminders.
